Travis Scott continues to work on Utopia.
The Houston rapper stayed away from social media in the wake of the Astroworld tragedy, but returned to Instagram on Friday (Jan. 14) to share a series of photos, including one of himself on the beach.
He apparently confirmed that too Utopia is on the way, posting a photo of a pair of black Apple AirPods Max headphones engraved with the name of his fourth album.
The beach photo may have been taken in Mexico, where Travis shot Utopia, the sequel to 2018 Astroworld.
In a recent interview with Billboard, producer Wheezy revealed that he was on his way to Cabo to complete the project. “Yes, we are still working on it and finalizing it,” he said. “He’s back in Cabo working on it and I’m going there soon. I’ll probably go there in the next two or three weeks to contact him.”
Travis previously said that Utopia would have a “completely new sound”.
“I never tell people this, and I’m probably going to keep it a secret for a while, but I’m working with some new people and I’m just trying to expand the sound,” he said. ID card magazine. “I made beats again, rap to my own beats, put it all together and tried to really grow it. That was one of the best things about working on this album. I evolve, collaborate with new people and deliver a whole new sound, a whole new range.”
The day before the deadly Astroworld events on November 4, Travis dropped a few songs, “Mafia” and “Escape Plan,” but it’s unclear if they’ll appear on Utopia.
Meanwhile, he and Kylie Jenner are expecting their second child. Kylie shared photos from their baby shower on Instagram.
