Republican Rep Drops ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ Biden Reference On House Floor

The Biden administration seems to be a perfect fit for the Halloween season. The Lord knows it’s scary enough, and the stories that will crop up about it throughout history will no doubt be as terrifying as we think they will be.

But alongside harrowing and very real stories of masses of illegal immigrants crossing the border, high prices and inflation, and the truly incredible story of American citizens being left behind enemy lines for a brutal regime in a foreign land, there are bright shining moments. .

Like the now infamous phrase “Let’s go Brandon!” which a Republican congressman has now officially entered into the Congressional Record forever.

No one can ignore it

The last one to refer to America’s new friend Brandon is Rep. Bill Posey from Florida.

On Friday morning in the House of Representatives, he did two things. He referenced President Joe Biden’s campaign slogan “Build Back Better” and a popular social media meme that says something along the lines of, “Don’t rebuild it, put it back the way it was and leave it the fuck alone.” .”

But then he did something else. He raised a fist and said, “Let’s go Brandon!”

Who is Brandon? And how did he become so popular so quickly?

America, Meet ‘Brandon’

Americans know they’ll be stuck with Joe Biden for the next three years (probably).

Even some who voted for Biden now have a serious case of buyer remorse. To borrow even more from social media, many of them would trade three bucks of gas for a few mean tweets in the blink of an eye. But it’s a little too late for that. Enter Brandon.

It all started with the start of the college football season. Suddenly, the chant of “F*** Joe Biden” was heard in college football stadiums with 80,000 people. It raised many conservative eyebrows.

A collective, “Really? Do they finally get it?” would have been almost audible from conservative bastions. The chants continued and spread all over the country, especially at mass sporting events.

Fast forward to October 9 and NASCAR’s Xfinity Series race at Alabama’s Talladega Superspeedway. As the checkered flag waved, driver Brandon Brown came in first and also won his first NASCAR race.

When NBC Sports reporter Kelli Stavast began interviewing Brown, chants of “F*** Joe Biden” began roaring from the stands and were heard on TV.

Since the media can’t help it, reporter Stavast tried her best to do the Pravda routine and lied about what was being sung.

She began to question Brown about his strategy for winning the race.

“Brandon, you also told me – as you can hear the chants of the crowd, ‘Let’s go, Brandon’ – Brandon, you told me to hold back a little bit those first two stages and just watch and learn,” said solid. “What did you learn that helped you in those final laps?”

And so “Let’s go Brandon” was born. Since then, it has been used as a safe-for-TV, safe-for-social media euphemism in place of “F*** Joe Biden”.

Brandon goes mainstream

What may have started as the chants of drunken college students at a Saturday afternoon football game has turned into a complete meme of legendary proportions. The internet and social media have become a home for those with some degree of entrepreneurship to sell t-shirts and anything else they can print “Let’s go Brandon” on.

There’s even a “Let’s go Brandon” song and video on YouTube. Rapper Loza Alexander took his “Let’s Go Brandon” video and rap song to number two on iTunes on October 19.

But as with all things the left doesn’t like, it has to go. On Thursday, YouTube announced that Alexander’s video “Let’s Go Brandon” would be removed. The reason it’s banned? “Medical Misinformation.” Any excuse is enough.

With Joe Biden’s poll numbers in free fall, it remains to be seen if Brandon will become even more popular. But for now, “Brandon” may join his sister “Karen” as someone whose name may one day become a dictionary entry and have a very different meaning than originally intended.
