Marjorie Taylor Greene has been banned from Twitter

She said in a statement from NBC News that she had been suspended for sharing data from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System. “Twitter is an enemy of America and can’t handle the truth,” Greene said. “That’s fine. I’ll show America that we don’t need them and that it’s time to defeat our enemies.”

Twitter posted in December and comprehensive policy to hold users accountable for misleading information they post about the COVID-19 pandemic. The company wrote:

The consequences for violating our Misleading Information Policy about COVID-19 depend on the severity and type of violation and the history of previous account violations. In cases where accounts repeatedly violate this policy, we use an alert system to determine whether further enforcement action should be taken. We believe this system will help further reduce the spread of potentially harmful and misleading information on Twitter, especially for very serious violations of our rules.

Repeated violations of this policy are enforced based on the number of warnings an account received for violations of this policy:

  • 1 Warning: No Account Level Action
  • 2 Warnings: 12 Hour Account Lock
  • 3 Warnings: 12 Hour Account Lock
  • 4 Warnings: 7 Day Account Lock
  • 5 or more strikes: permanent suspension

Greene has been a regular darling of the GOP media, referring to Asian Americans as: yellow people” and call Jewish Democrat George Soros a Nazi in a Series of Videos Politically discovered. She also said in the footage that Muslim citizens do not belong in government and that black people “are kept slaves of the Democratic Party”. From the virtual GOP 2021 goal of spreading misinformation about the COVID-19 vaccine, she has devoted herself tirelessly to the cause. She said “vaccine Nazis” are “ruining” our country as a guest on Steve Bannon’s war room podcast on November 2, 2021.

She also proudly announced at a town hall that same month that she had not been vaccinated because “the government has nothing to do to tell Americans to take the COVID vaccine or not,” That reports CNN. Meanwhile, she has had no problem profiting from the vaccine and owns shares in three prominent vaccine companies.

Hypocritical, racist and titled: Greene in a nutshell.

Add her Twitter suspension to the list of things to be thankful for as you head into the new year. By the way, author Aja Raden has made quite a list if you need a pick-me-up.
