Former Trump campaign chairman and GETTR CEO Jason Miller was on a whirlwind publicity tour of Europe this week to build international support for GETTR.
Miller met French presidential hopefuls Éric Zemmour and Le Pen niece Marion Maréchal in France over the weekend before flying to London to meet Nigel Farage, conservative YouTuber Carl Benjamin (“Sargon of Akkad”) and US Antifa pundit Andy Ngo, where Gateway Pundit spoke to him.
The multilingual version of GETTR was launched on September 18 on all platforms, including iOS and Android. “Many of our excellent engineers are Chinese,” Miller said, “so it was very important for us to be available in multiple languages. About ten percent of our users do so in Mandarin Chinese.” Chinese billionaire and ally of Steve Bannon, Guo Wengui, is one of the main investors in GETTR, soliciting hundreds of millions of dollars from investors through Cryptocurrency, for which he was recently fined $539 million by the Biden SEC.
Outside of the US and China, GETTR’s second-largest fanbase is in Brazil, said Miller, who was recently detained at the Brazil airport and questioned for four hours after visiting CPAC Brazil and meeting President Jair Bolsonaro. “You would think that Bolsonaro is in charge in Brazil, but that is not really the case,” said Miller. “There is a whole host of left-wing judges appointed by the erstwhile socialist government who have their own police force and are accountable to no one.”

Miller was questioned at the airport on suspicion of fomenting a “rebellion” like the one at the Capitol on Jan. 6, “which is ridiculous because GETTR wasn’t even conceived on Jan. 6,” Miller says. “On January 6, most people organized through Facebook and Twitter.” When law enforcement began demanding the names and contacts of everyone he met in Brazil, he knew they were off limits, Miller recalls. “Then I stopped answering.” In the end, the Federales had to let him go because he had committed no crime. “After all, the fact that I visited Brazil was widely known. And when the news went global, they held us, they started to get pressured, so they had to let us go.”
On the day of his detention, approximately 30 million Brazilians took to the streets on Brazil’s Independence Day to protest for freedom of expression. Since then, there has been a run on GETTR by Brazilians, who are now the third largest audience on the platform. “There is still huge support for Bolsonaro in Brazil, no matter what the polls and media say. Unfortunately, the media in Brazil is just as left-wing as it is in the US, so that’s where GETTR comes in.”
Now Miller is targeting global expansion and also evoking conservative voices in Europe. Prominent British Islam critic Tommy Robinson, banned from virtually every other platform except Telegram, already has 25.6K followers on GETTR. YouTuber Carl Benjamin met with Miller on Tuesday and promised to recruit other colleagues for GETTR: “I bet I can even make Milo (Yiannopoulos) a good boy.”
