It’s been two days since Jennifer Lawrence married Cooke Maroney in Rhode Island’s Belcourt Mansion with many celebs—Adele, Emma Stone, Cameron Diaz, Ashley Olsen, etc.—in attendance. Lawrence hasn’t posted anything about her wedding, but sources have spoken a little to E!, People, and Entertainment Tonight about the bride’s dress, her reception, and all the incredible food J.Law enjoyed with her guests.
Here, the best gossip so far.
Lawrence had a lot of celebrities at her wedding in addition to other friends and family. According to multiple outlets, guests included Adele, Emma Stone, Amy Schumer, Kris Jenner, Corey Gamble, Ashley Olsen, Nicole Richie, Joel Madden, Cameron Diaz, Benji Madden, Sienna Miller, and David O. Russell.
J.Law’s wedding was very fall-themed. A source explained the decor to E! and how artisanal the food was: “The wedding had all the touches of fall with dark colored flowers, apples in baskets and open fire spits roasting beef. All the food was prepared outdoors with wood roasted fish and heirloom roasted carrots and squash as part of the menu.”
Lawrence wore a Dior gown, and her husband was in a Dior tuxedo, E! and People report. No photos of either ensemble have been shared yet. E! got a little detail on the dress she wore to the reception: A source told the outlet, “Jennifer had on a long sleeved jeweled dress. Her hair was up with strands framing her face.”
The after party went very, very late. A source explained to E! that many guests stayed until 2 or 3 A.M. “They had a DJ and everyone danced for hours,” the outlet’s source, an eyewitness, said. “They played all the classics from Jackson 5 to Aretha Franklin. Nobody wanted to leave. Many stayed until 2 and 3 a.m….It was an all night party. Jennifer and Cooke didn’t leave Belcourt until 5:30 a.m. They were the last guests to leave. They looked very happy but tired.” The two didn’t have to go far; they spent the night at a rental property a few miles from the Belcourt after their wedding.
J.Law had food trucks at her reception party. People reports that she enlisted Boston’s Baddest Burger Food Truck and Maine-ly Lobstah to serve her guests. Chicken sandwiches, French fries, and hamburgers were among the food available. Food truck owner Kevin Tortorella told the outlet that he didn’t realize he was catering J.Law’s wedding but that everyone was nice. “I honestly had no idea who I was serving, I just knew I was going to a specific address in Rhode Island,” Tortorella said. “And when I got there, the roads were sidelined with paparazzi and that’s when I started to be clued in.”
J.Law’s celeb guests were hyped about celebrating her wedding together even before the ceremony happened. Entertainment Tonight reported that many of the celebs were staying at Gurney’s Newport Resort & Marina. “Guests were so excited to be running into each other ahead of the big event,” a source said. “Everyone seemed so excited about the wedding. It’s going to be such a fun party.”
