How to watch and livestream the 2022 Golden Globes

The 2022 Golden Globes are almost here — but they’re going to look very different.

The ceremony is the first show of the award season and usually sets the tone for the rest of Hollywood’s year.

However, this is no typical year. The show is plagued not only by the constraints of the pandemic, but its own scandal.

A Los Angeles Times exposé uncovered a scandal within the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, alleging that the HFPA has a staggering lack of diversity, questionable ethics and wayward financial workings.

Numerous studios and filmmakers said that they would not work with the organization unless they changed their ways.

The Golden Globes usually air on NBC each year, however, last May the network decided not to go through with this year’s broadcast.

“We continue to believe that the HFPA is committed to meaningful reform. However, change of this magnitude takes time and work, and we feel strongly that the HFPA needs time to do it right,” the network said in a statement at the time. “As such, NBC will not air the 2022 Golden Globes. Assuming the organization executes on its plan, we are hopeful we will be in a position to air the show in January 2023.”

Still, the show will go on. Here’s everything you need to know about the 2022 Golden Globes.

When does it start and how do I watch?

The show will not be airing on NBC or on any TV networks this year.

And it’s still unclear how fans will be able to see the pared down show. A representative for the HFPA told The Post, “We haven’t announced any livestream details yet. We’re hoping to have more info to share soon.”

We’ll update this story when more details become available.

The show is set to start on Sunday, Jan. 9 at 9:00 p.m. EST.

Who is presenting?

2022’s ceremony will have no one hosting and no celebrities presenting.

There will also be no audience, press or red carpet.

The only presenters who will be attending the show will be the members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and a handful of “select members and grantees,” according to a release.
