GOP introduces bill that would deport immigrants convicted of sex crimes

As the Biden administration’s illegal immigration crisis continues unabated, rising GOP star Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) introduced a bill in the House that would deport immigrants already convicted of sex crimes.

On the other side of the coin, people convicted of sex crimes would also not be able to legally enter the country, say on a green card.

The bill is called the BE GONE Act, The Better Enforcement of Grievous Offenses By Unnaturalized Emigrants would amend the Immigration and Nationality Act.

Stefanik said of the bill: “We must ensure that sex criminals are stopped and immediately deported for the safety of our citizens. Border security is national security and I am proud to work to keep our communities safe.”

Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) originally introduced the Senate version of the bill — which also bans refugees convicted of sex crimes.

A revolving door for sexual predators

Problems with legal immigrants are one thing. Problems with unknown illegal immigrants are another.

As soon as Joe Biden’s massive influx of illegal immigrants began, so did sexual predators. Many of those with sex crime convictions have been deported and tried to re-enter the US

The numbers are quite alarming. According to Border Patrol reports, 8,691 criminals have been caught at the border this year, including sexual criminals.

However, the San Marcos Corridor News points out that the Border Patrol cannot access criminal records from other countries. The number of people caught who are also criminals could be much higher.

No signs of slowing down

The Biden administration continues to wink and nod at the millions of illegal immigrants who cross the border every day. Preparations are currently underway in Texas for yet another “migrant caravan” headed for the border.

According to Panamanian government officials, a group of 60,000 is currently heading north to Texas.

Support for Rep.’s Bill Stefanik has received support from former Trump administration officials, such as former Acting Commissioner for Customs and Border Protection Mark Morgan, and former Acting Director of Immigration and Customs, Thomas Homan.
