Foals’ Album Is No 1 In The UK



British modern rock stalwarts Foals have their first U.K. No. 1 album, as Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 2 (Warner Records) lands in pole position.

Foals thus go one better than with Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 1, which debuted at No. 2 in March. All six of their studio releases have made the U.K. top ten, five of them in the top three. The new set narrowly outdoes James Arthur‘s third studio album You (Syco Music/Sony); its predecessor Back From The Edge hit No. 1 in 2016.

Ed Sheeran‘s No. 6 Collaborations Project (Asylum/Warner Music) falls 2-3 on the new album chart, which has a new entry at No. 4 for Alter Bridge’s sixth album Walk The Sky (Napalm). Lewis Capaldi‘s Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent (EMI/Universal) is down 3-5 while rising English name Yungblud gets a No. 6 with The Underrated Youth EP (Interscope/Universal). Irish easy-listening entertainer Daniel O’Donnell is in at No. 8 with Halfway To Paradise (DMG TV). It’s the 39th U.K. top 40 album for the 57-year-old artist.

Meanwhile, Tones and I‘s “Dance Monkey” (Bad Batch) starts a fourth week atop the singles chart, in the Official Charts Company’s new data.

Tones and I adds another 81,000 combined units, including 9 million streams, outperforming Regard’s “Ride It” (Ministry of Sound), which holds at No. 2, by almost two to one. Post Malone‘s “Circles” (Republic/Universal) is up 4-3 and Sheeran’s “South of The Border,” featuring Camila Cabello and Cardi B climbs again 7-4. Travis Scott‘s “Highest In The Room” (Cactus Jack/Grand Hustle/Epic/Sony) remains at No. 5. Capaldi’s “Bruises” is up three spots to a new peak of No. 6, while “Buss Down” (Since 93) by Aitch featuring ZieZie improves 11-8.Maroon 5 get their 11th U.K. top ten single as “Memories” (Interscope/Universal) jumps 19-10.
