Eric Swalwell teaches Lauren Boebert that people who live in MAGA houses should not throw stones

BOEBERT: “Democratic policies are so pathetic and have done so badly that the left has nothing to do but troll the internet for ways to be offended, then try to attack members and strip them of their committees . This is a stupid waste of the House’s time. But since the speaker has designated the floor to discuss the inappropriate action of the members, shall we do so? The Minnesota jihadist member has paid her husband — and not her brother-husband, the other — more than a million dollars in campaign money. This member is allowed to sit on the foreign affairs committee while praising terrorists. A Democrat chairman incited further violence in the streets outside a courthouse. And then the icing on the cake. My colleague, a three-month presidential candidate from California, who is on the Intelligence Committee, slept with Fang Fang, a Chinese spy. Let me say that again. A member of Congress who receives secret briefings slept with the enemy. This is unacceptable and this should never…”

My esteemed Daily Kos colleague Dartagnan has already dropped the nonsense about Ilhan Omar (the “jihad team member from Minnesota”) here, but there’s still plenty of sanity to dig through. Namely the part about Fang Fang.

here’s how The Washington Post characterized the relationship of Rep. Eric Swalwell, as it was, with the alleged Chinese spy Christine Fang, aka Fang Fang. (Swalwell is the “three-month presidential candidate from California” that Boebert refers to in her diatribe.)

Axios reports that US officials do not believe Fang ever got classified information while dealing with politicians, including from Swalwell. He is not charged with any wrongdoing. After US intelligence officials informed him of their concerns about Fang in 2015, he severed ties with her. Swalwell said in a statement to Axios this week that he has provided information about her to the FBI and that he has not had any contact with her for six years. Fang has left the country.

So that’s not great, but it doesn’t look like Swalwell did anything wrong. He certainly didn’t tweet about the whereabouts of Speaker Nancy Pelosi during the violent siege of the Capitol on January 6, for example.

And of course Rep. Swalwell Boebert’s bile eruptions as a kind of teaching moment.

For the non-tweeters:

Strange. If I had done something wrong, the FBI would have raided my house. They didn’t (and went so far as to issue a statement saying I wasn’t doing anything wrong). BUT yesterday they have the house of @laurenboebert‘s campaign manager. They always project.

Oh no. Yes that is true. Boebert’s former campaign manager, Sherronna Bishop, saw her home raided by the FBI yesterday as part of an investigation into an alleged security breach in the voting system of Mesa County, Colorado. (Bishop was whining about Pillow Man Mike Lindell’s sprawling website glitch last night.) Salon:

Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters, a Republican, was accused by state officials in August of helping to… leaking voting system passwords to a right-wing blog. Peters later appeared at CEO Mike Lindell’s MyPillow conspiracy-laden ‘cyber symposium’ where the pillow tycoon promised but failed to produce evidence of vote fraud. Peters later shortly went into hiding with Lindell’s help amid FBI investigation.

On Tuesday morning, the FBI and local prosecutors raided Peters’ home. […]

The FBI also raided a home in Garfield County, Rubinstein confirmed. Lindell said one of the homes he robbed belongs to Sherronna Bishop, a Garfield County resident who serves as campaign manager for Lauren Boebert’s campaign manager, R-Colo. served. Bishop is one of Peter’s most prominent allies in fueling baseless allegations of voting machine problems in the election and hinted at a meeting last month that she was aware of undisclosed data from Mesa County and Lindell’s “cybersecurity team.”

hmm. What kind of sketchy characters does Boebert associate with? Well, her husband for example.

I always thought it was pretty easy not to expose yourself to underage girls in a bowling alley, but apparently it’s challenging for Boebert’s husband, Jayson, who did just that in 2004. (To be fair, the girl who Jayson was dating — that is, Boebert was also a minor at the time. She was 17; he was 24.)

Finally: “The democratic policy is so pathetic and has done so badly…”? Joe Biden created more jobs (5.6 million) in nine months than Donald Trump created in his entire tenure (i.e. less than zero).

But again, Boebert doesn’t talk to people of intelligence or common sense. She talks to people who think Donald Trump can come out of a cloud any day, retake the White House, and screw up the country again.

It won’t happen, but then Boebert isn’t really interested in a convincing point. Neither does she.

It made comedian Sarah Silverman say, “THIS IS FUCKING BRILLIANT,” and early author Stephen King shout “Pulitzer Prize!!!” (on Twitter that is). What is it? The viral letter that launched four hilarious Trump troll books. Get them all, including the final, Goodbye, Asshat: 101 Farewell Letters to Donald Trump, Bee this link.
