Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Makes His Rap Debut on Tech N9ine’s ‘Face Off’

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson may add rapper to his resume.

The box office king makes his rap debut on Tech N9ne’s new single, “Face Off”, which also features Joey Cool and King Iso.

“I love music. Whenever I can apply some musical elements in my films, I always like to do that,” The Rock told Variety.

The Jungle Cruise star has been a longtime fan of the independent rapper and has shared his music on social media. A few years ago, the two met in person on the set of HBO’s “Ballers,” but the partnership only came about when Tech N9ne DM’d The Rock.

“The biggest star in the world said something back! Do you know what I mean? I’m hyped. We are all hyped!” Tech N9ne said.

“When Tech texted me, I knew I was going to make this work,” The Rock added. “We are aligned just in terms of our work ethic and desire. When Tech and I first met on the set of “Ballers” years ago, we talked about the idea of being the hardest worker in the room. He said something I really appreciated: Basically, “There can never be enough food in this room or on this set that I can get full because I always want to be hungry.” I just love that.”

The Rock previously appeared on Wyclef Jean’s 2000 song, “It Matter’s Not Matter,” but he was waiting for the right moment to make his official rap debut. “Many of my friends who are hip-hop artists, like big names, have been asked a few times. But it just has to feel good,” he said.

“Face Off” Can Be Found On Tech N9ne’s New Album ASIN9NE, which also includes Lil Wayne, E-40, and Snow Tha Product.
