Crenshaw says Biden and Harris ‘like’ border crisis – ‘that’s why they don’t want to solve it’

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) took to Fox News Monday to criticize President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for the border crisis lingering on the US border with Mexico.

Crenshaw went so far as to say he thinks the two “like” the crisis, which is why they don’t want to solve it, adding that it’s “pretty clear” Harris doesn’t care about the problem. and that her recent trip to the border was for a “quick photo op.”

Crenshaw sounds out

“It’s pretty clear Kamala Harris doesn’t care about this issue,” Crenshaw said. “I think it’s pretty obvious that she only went to visit where there was a convenient airport, where she could take a quick photo, say she did it because she was tired of being ridiculed by conservative media who she never went, but she didn’t really take action.”

“Look, when it comes to these facilities, they’re overcrowded, they’re overwhelmed, and we could wring our hands to figure out what to do with them, but we don’t have any new ones to build right away, so we have to get to the root of the problem,” he added.

“And the source of the problem is the Biden administration, because it has reversed existing policies that restricted the flow,” Crenshaw continued. “Okay, they have reversed the policy of staying in Mexico, they have reversed the asylum cooperation agreements with the countries of the Northern Triangle and they are refusing to address the main problem.”

Crenshaw doubles down

“And the main problem is that we cannot legally detain migrant families or minors in the past 21 days, so we cannot assess these claims,” he said. “This would be the simplest solution, and it should be a legal solution.”

“It has to come from Congress, and all we have to do is increase that number of days, increase the number of immigration judges, review these claims and speed up the process. You know what avoids that?” said Crenshaw. “It avoids this catch-and-release program, which means there’s less incentive to just jump over the line.”

“This stuff is easy to fix, and I think that’s why it’s so irritating that the Democrats don’t want it. And you have to question their motives here,” he concluded. ‘Why don’t they? They want more illegal immigration. Okay, they love the crisis. That’s why they don’t want to fix it. There really is no other way to explain this.”
