Rising Brazilian rockers Ego Kill Talent have joined the BMG family.
Ahead of their sophomore album release, Ego Kill Talent inked a global recording partnership with BMG, which sees them become the first Brazilian act signed to the recently-launched BMG Brazil.
“We decided to go with BMG not only because of their label mentality, which is great. But also because of the team they have,” reads a statement issued by the band. “In every office we went and in every meeting we had we felt embraced by people who showed a genuine willingness and capacity to take our career to the next level. We couldn’t be more excited to start this ride together.”
Ego Kill Talent will support their forthcoming LP when they hit the road with Metallica next April on the U.S. metal giants’ Brazilian tour, followed by a support slot on various System of a Down dates in Europe next year.
Jasmina Zammit, GM of BMG Brazil, adds, “Ego Kill Talent are not only brilliant musicians and amazing live, but also very experienced, which makes it incredibly fun and productive to work with them. I couldn’t be more excited we gained such a promising band so shortly after rolling out our label activities here in Brazil.”
The band, which has twice performed at the giant Rock In Rio music festival, will make their U.S. debut next May with a string of festival appearances.
Founded in São Paulo, the group is putting the finishing touches on their album, recorded at the Foo Fighters’ 606 Studios. The set will feature 12 tracks with assists from John Dolmayan (System of a Down), Roy Mayorga (Stone Sour) and skateboarding legend Bob Burnquist.
A release date has yet to be announced.
