Dua Lipa is heading Down Under.
The “New Rules” singer is confirmed to perform at the 2019 ARIA Awards, to be held Nov. 2 at the Star Event Centre in Sydney.
The British pop artist is the second international booked to perform at the Australian recording industry’s flagship ceremony, after Halsey.
Lipa’s self-titled debut album, which is certified platinum Down Under, features the ARIA Top 10 singles, “Be the One,” “IDGAF” and “New Rules,” which hit No. 2 on the national chart.
“I am thrilled to have Dua Lipa join us for the ARIA Awards this November,” Dan Rosen, ARIA CEO says in a statement. “She is a global superstar who has dominated the charts around the world and here in Australia. I cannot wait to see her take the ARIA stage.”
The Londoner’s last visit to these parts turned out to be more painful than expected. She was forced to scrap a few support dates on Bruno Mars’ 2018 national arena tour to undergo surgery on her wisdom teeth.
With eight nominations Tones And I, leads the pack heading into the 33rd annual ARIAs, with Hilltop Hoods and The Teskey Brothers close behind with seven each.
Guy Sebastian will host the show, which we be beamed out on the free-to-air Nine Network.
