It is the four year anniversary of the Teen Wolf series finale; never forget that the pack walks into the rain. And ever since the iconic MTV supernatural series ended, “we’ve heard your cries” for more and now we’re “crying back.”
MTV Entertainment Studios today announced that it is partnering again with creator, writer and producer Jeff Davis for a new multi-year deal. As part of the collaboration, Davis will write and executive produce Teen Wolf movie with conversations in progress with the original cast, plus an all-new series wolf pack; he will also serve as showrunner and director for the pilot of the previously announced live-action reboot Æone flux, for Paramount+, as well as additional titles for the streaming service ViacomCBS. Under Chris McCarthy, President and CEO of MTVE, these projects seek to further maximize IP and successful franchises while creating new IP that appeals to MTVE’s global audience.
We’ll see Roscoe! And, from December 2021, the entire 100 episode Teen Wolf library will be available to stream on Paramount+ in key global markets.
Here’s more on the movie’s revival: A full moon rises in Beacon Hills and with it a terrifying evil has arisen. The wolves howl again, calling for the return of Banshees, Werecoyotes, Hellhounds, Kitsunes and every other shape-shifter in the night. But only a werewolf like Scott McCall, no longer a teenager but still an Alpha, can gather new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadly enemy they’ve ever faced.
In the meantime, wolf packBased on the book series by Edo Van Belkom, it follows a teenage boy and girl whose lives are forever changed when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature and leads it to attack a traffic jam beneath the burning hills. Wounded in the chaos, the boy and girl are inexplicably attracted to each other and to two other teenagers who were adopted 16 years earlier by a park ranger after another mysterious bushfire. When the full moon rises, all four teens come together to unravel the secret that connects them: the bite and blood of a werewolf.
Credited for laying the groundwork as one of the first female anime superheroes, Æone flux returns as a revamped live-action series. Set in a post-apocalyptic near future where lands no longer exist, reduced to Spartan like city-states locked in an eternal war, where children are turned into deadly soldiers and every citizen carries a gun, a young woman rises to stand up against her Orwellian reign as she becomes the hero known as ÆON FLUX.
