A Mom’s Vow: Will Amber Be Committed to Being ‘Present’ for Leah on Teen Mom OG?

Amber chose not to attend Leah’s 12th birthday party last season Teen Mom OG; the mother of two claimed she felt “a little uncomfortable” attending her daughter’s hibachi-filled house party, while Leah was uncomfortable with her mother’s idea of ​​commemorating the occasion with a one- at a meeting. And on tonight’s episode, Amber expressed regret for how she handled that circumstance and vowed to “show up” for her firstborn.

But before Amber made the b-day-related confession to her producer David, she remembered going on camera with Leah, Gary, Kristina and Emilee.

“She had a really bad time with Leah,” Amber repeated. “But I already thought it would,” she continued, adding that Leah “got a little spicy” in the middle of a conversation about a movie (Amber asked follow-up questions).

Amber revealed to David that it had been “a while” since the mother-daughter duo had seen each other, and Amber admitted she missed her girl “a lot”. She also reflected on the aforementioned milestone.

“No matter how she keeps saying she doesn’t want me there — well, she wanted me to be there,” Amber said of the mini bash. ‘Cause if she didn’t, she wouldn’t have said ‘well, you could still have done that’ [come]. I think it really hurt her that I didn’t go to that birthday party.”

Looking back, Amber is clear that this was her own fault and she remains focused on “showing up” for Leah.
