Whoopi Goldberg Says She’s In a Depression Over Trump And The Election (VIDEO)

Something strange is going on. People in the media are convinced that Joe Biden is going to win the election. They point to all the polls that were wrong in 2016 and cling to the belief that Trump will lose.

Yet they don’t behave like people who believe they are winning.

Take Whoopi Goldberg of The View.

She recently claimed that she’s in a depression over Trump.

The Washington Examiner reports:

Whoopi Goldberg says she’s fallen into a ‘depression’ because of Trump: ‘Everything he says is pissing me off’

The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg said President Trump’s words on the campaign trail has caused her to sink into a “depression.”

“What is he talking about? I’m in a depression now, because of him. Every time I see him, he depresses me. Everything he says is pissing me off and depressing me,” Goldberg said on Monday on The View.

Goldberg was venting frustrations with Trump after showing a clip of him at a rally on Sunday, where he criticized the effect a Joe Biden presidency would have on America.

“If you vote for Biden, he will surrender your jobs to China. He will surrender your future to the virus,” Trump said in the clip. “He’s going to lock down, he’s gonna want us to lock down. He’ll listen to the scientists. If I listened totally to the scientists, we would, right now, have a country that would be in a massive depression, instead of, well, like a rocketship.”

Watch the video below:

Why is Whoopi so depressed?

Could it be because in her heart she knows that the polls are off just like they were four years ago and that there’s a very good chance that Trump is going to win again?

The left is not acting like Biden is going to win.

It’s very telling, isn’t it?

Patrick Stewart stuns Whoopi Goldberg with ‘Picard’ casting offer

“Star Trek: Picard” actor Sir Patrick Stewart himself landed the newest cast member for Season 2: Whoopi Goldberg.

During an appearance on “The View” Wednesday, Stewart offered a “formal invitation” for a visibly shocked co-host Goldberg to reprise her role as sage USS Enterprise bartender Guinan, whom she played alongside Stewart’s Starfleet Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the 1987-1994 series “Star Trek: The Next Generation.”

Stewart mentioned that “Picard” executive producer Alex Kurtzman — “and all of his colleagues, of which I am one,” he said — wanted to invite Goldberg to appear in the second year of the CBS All Access series. The first 10-episode season premieres Thursday.

The offer elicited extended cheers from the audience and a laugh from Goldberg, who stood up and got a big hug from Stewart, who implored, “Please say yes.” She did, and Stewart, 79, raised his hands over his head, clasping them together in victory.

“‘Star Trek’ was one of the great experiences from the beginning to the end,” said Goldberg, 64, who joined “Next Generation” in that show’s second season. “I had the best, best, best time. Best time ever.”

The memory — and Stewart’s offer — left Goldberg at a near loss for words.

“Well, it was wonderful having you and we cannot wait to have you with us again one more time,” Stewart responded as Goldberg went silent and appeared to be choked up.

“Are you getting emotional, Whoopi? Are you getting emotional? Oh my gosh!” said co-host Meghan McCain in reaction to Goldberg’s befuddled state.

“Whoopi is never emotional!” continued McCain, who is often the co-host who stirs the emotional pot on the show. “I’m really enjoying Whoopi being the emotional [one]. It’s very rare. It’s normally all of us.”

“Star Trek: Picard,” which was already renewed for a second season before the show even premieres, features several cast members revisiting roles they played in “The Next Generation” and the 1995-2001 series “Star Trek: Voyager,” including Brent Spiner as android Data and Jeri Ryan as ex-Borg Seven of Nine. The show follows Stewart’s now-retired Starfleet admiral as interrupts his quiet life on his French vineyard to boldly go on one more interstellar mission.

Whoopi Goldberg Tells ‘View’ Cohost Meghan McCain to ‘Stop Talking’

Not having it! Whoopi Goldberg reprimanded her View cohost Meghan McCain when the duo got into a heated exchange centered on President Donald Trump’s impeachment on Monday, December 16.

During Monday’s discussion, fellow cohosts Joy Behar and Abby Huntsman debated the issue of Trump, 72, refusing to not go under oath during the impeachment proceedings. Sunny Hostin then made a comparison between how former President Bill Clinton’s 1998 impeachment was handled in contrast to how the current Republican-led Senate seems to be treating the trial against Trump. However, McCain interrupted Hostin to state that debating the ethics of it all isn’t her responsibility.

“My job here is not to litigate the ethics of it. I’m an ABC political analyst along with being a View cohost,” the Dirty Sexy Politics author, 35, said at the time. “My job is to analyze the politics of it.”

Hostin, 51, attempted to interject once more to clarify that she was “not” referencing McCain when making her point. Yet, McCain asked that her colleague allow her to wrap up first, saying: “Just let me finish. I let you talk, let me finish.”

Goldberg raised her voice in an attempt to help move the show into a commercial break, but McCain continued to talk over the 64-year-old Academy Award winner. The conservative panelist then complained that the View was seemingly not interested in featuring “a conservative perspective on this show ever,” but this remark caused Goldberg to scold McCain in response.

“Girl, please stop talking!” Goldberg said, causing McCain’s jaw to drop in shock. “Please stop talking now.”

A frustrated McCain simply told Goldberg that it was “no problem,” and added that she “won’t talk the rest of the show.” To the audience’s surprise, the Nobody’s Fool actress bluntly said: “I’m OK with that. I’m OK with that, if you are going to behave like this.”

Fans of The View are quite familiar with the cohosts ability to butt heads when debating over current events. Last month, Goldberg shut down speculation that the onscreen tension between the show’s stars translates into feuds behind-the-scenes.

“Here’s the thing, I don’t often have much to say,” the Sister Act star said during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers. “I’ve been there for almost 10 years. Everyone has what they need to do, and folks, when it’s women they say, ‘You know, they’re fighting.’ You know, if we were fighting, you’d actually know it. We’re like old broads. We’re like, ‘Pow!’ We’re not like, ‘Stop it, you’re so mean to me.’ We don’t do that.”

During an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, Goldberg, 63, addressed rumors regarding tension among the ABC show’s star-studded cast.

“Here’s the thing, I don’t often have much to say,” the comedian said on Monday, November 11. “I’ve been there for almost 10 years. Everyone has what they need to do, and folks, when it’s women they say, ‘You know, they’re fighting.’ You know, if we were fighting, you’d actually know it.”

The Sister Act star continued, “We’re like old broads. We’re like, ‘Pow!’ We’re not like, ‘Stop it, you’re so mean to me.’ We don’t do that.”

Goldberg also added that if they were “truly fighting,” then there “would be issues.”

Goldberg currently appears on The View along with Meghan McCain, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Abby Huntsman. Previous show cohosts have included Barbara Walters, Jenny McCarthy, Rosie O’Donnell and Sherri Shepherd.

On the long-running daytime series, the cohosts are tasked with giving their take on today’s current events. This has frequently led to intense debates between the leading ladies, namely McCain, 35, and Behar, 77.

McCain and Behar have butted heads on several occasions. In June, the conservative commentator even called her liberal counterpart a “bitch” during one of their heated discussions. Attacks of this caliber aren’t necessarily detrimental to their dynamic behind-the-scenes. When defending calling Behar a not-so-nice word, McCain explained the dynamic of their relationship.

“I also enjoy fighting with you and she enjoys fighting with me,” she said at the time. “So, I just want everyone to stop being so precious about our relationship because it’s almost 2020 and women can debate on TV in a spirited way without it being personal, and I know this is a big shock, but we get along backstage.”

Behar agreed and added, “We’re both pugilistic, and so it’s fine.”

Goldberg, meanwhile, frequently plays peacemaker among her colleagues. However, last month, the Color Purple star got in on the action when she interrupted McCain’s shouting match with Behar to lecture her about having “respect” for her fellow cohosts.

Speaking to Seth Meyers on Monday, Goldberg pointed out that engaging in heated debates with people of various social, economic and political backgrounds is just part of the job.

“It is living with other people that are not you,” she explained. “They think differently, they want to say different stuff and I figure, that’s OK, they’re trying to do their gig too because, after all, this is our day job where they’re paying us for our opinions so that’s what they do.”

Though the Oscar winner acknowledged that it can often get “heated” among the opinionated bunch, Goldberg said she’s “had fights with husbands and lovers and all kind of stuff that have gone way further out the deck.”
