Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi Decides to Quit ‘Jersey Shore’ in Finale

The end of the reality TV road. Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi made up her mind about her future on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation after a fight with costar Angelina Pivarnick.

The TV personality, 32, announced her plans to leave the show during the season 3 finale, which aired on Thursday, June 18. “I’m quitting, I think,” she told Deena Nicole Cortese. “I think this is it. This is not fun.”

Polizzi then expressed her sadness about saying goodbye in the midst of drama. “I just love my roomies, always,” she said. “Jersey Shore is literally my life. I never would have met my best friends, so the fact that it has to end like this, for me, it really sucks.”

The finale featured Pivarnick’s wedding to Chris Larangeira, which took place in November 2019. Polizzi’s decision came after the 33-year-old reality star became upset about her toast with Cortese, 33, and Jenni “JWoww” Farley. The women fought about the speech, in which they playfully jabbed at Pivarnick. However, the bride didn’t find it funny.

“It’s the wrong f—king place. It’s the wrong time,” the Staten Island native said. “You don’t do this at somebody’s wedding.”

Polizzi revealed her retirement plans in December 2019. “You know, when I leave my kids and I film the show, like, I want to have a good time,” she explained during an episode of her “It’s Happening With Snooki & Joey” podcast. “And I’m putting myself out there, and I just wanna come off as a good person. And lately, on the show, it’s just been very drama.”

She continued: “Our show, Jersey Shore, is about family and about making fun of each other and having a good time and laughing and just knowing that it’s all in good fun. And lately, it’s just like, everything is so serious. … I just don’t like the turnout of it, and I don’t like the person I’m portrayed as.”

Polizzi’s children — she shares son Lorenzo, 7, daughter Giovanna, 5, and son Angelo, 12 months, with husband Jionni LaValle — factored into her walking away too.

“Anytime I say ‘Mommy’s going to work,’ [Lorenzo is] like, ‘Mom, you cannot leave me again like you did. I was so upset. I don’t want you leaving,’” she exclusively told Us Weekly in January. “So now every time I say I’m leaving for work, he goes, ‘How long are you leaving?’ It kind of gives him anxiety now. I can’t do that anymore. They are definitely happy that I’m not going to be leaving for days on end now.”

Mike Sorrentino Tried to Convince Snooki to Stay on ‘Jersey Shore’

Jersey Shore: Family Vacation won’t be the same without Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi — but the cast isn’t sure she’s really gone for good.

“I didn’t agree with it, but I have to support my sister,” Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino told Us Weekly exclusively on Tuesday, February 25. “I had texted her, called her and tried to convince her to reconsider but she has to do what’s right for her and we have to support her as a family. Maybe she’ll come back and revisit, maybe she’ll have a change of heart. Who knows? I’m hopeful for the future.”

Vinny Guadagnino also added that Snooki, 32, “quits every day” because it’s so difficult with her three kids at home.

“It’s like, you want to do this thing so bad but you get pulled back in to your newborn baby and stuff,” the Chippendales host, 32, said. “So hopefully, she can find a way — if there is one out there — to balance both. But right now, the scale, I think, was kind of tipping toward, it wasn’t working out.”

Polizzi revealed that she was leaving the reality show in December 2019, mostly because she wanted to spend more time with her children, Lorenzo, 7, Giovanna, 5, and Angelo, 8 months, who she shares with husband Jionni LaValle.

“I hate being away from the kids,” she said at the time. “I don’t like partying three days in a row. It’s just not my life anymore. And I wanna be home with the kids. You know, like, I don’t mind a here and there going to a dinner or whatever, but it’s just really hard on me to leave the kids and film the show.”

She later opened up to Us about the choice, detailing how difficult it was every time she left the family.

“My son is 7. So when we came back from Miami, I was gone for two weeks, then I came home for a night and then left for another two weeks. That literally scarred him,” she said in January. “So anytime I say, ‘Mommy’s going to work,’ he’s like, ‘Mom, you cannot leave me again like you did. I was so upset. I don’t want you leaving.’ So now every time I say I’m leaving for work, he goes, ‘How long are you leaving?’ It kind of gives him anxiety now. I can’t do that anymore. They are definitely happy that I’m not going to be leaving for days on end now.”

Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi Reveals ‘Jersey Shore’ Breaking Point

Enough is enough. Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi recalled the moment that led her to retire from Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

“I think when I was, like, actually forcing myself to be in a situation that I wasn’t happy in. Like, I was forcing myself to be ‘happy,’ and I’m like, ‘That’s not me.’ I’m not genuinely happy,” the reality star, 32, said in a clip from her January 2020 appearance on The Mel Robbins Show. “That’s when I’m like, ‘I’m out.’”

However, Polizzi pointed out the decision still was not easy. “It was really hard, but I had to think about my happiness and where I really wanted myself to be, and it’s being a mom and being [with my] kids and not drama and drinking … and drama,” she explained.

The TV personality shocked fans earlier this month when she announced her exit. “I am not coming back to Jersey Shore [Family Vacation] for a season 4, if there is one,” she said during the Friday, December 6, episode of her “It’s Happening With Snooki & Joey” podcast. “There’s a lot of reasons why, but the main reason is really … I’m just like, I just can’t do it anymore.”

Polizzi noted at the time that she hates being away from son Lorenzo, 7, daughter Giovanna, 5, and son Angelo, 6 months. “You know, when I leave my kids and I film the show, like, I want to have a good time,” she admitted. “And I’m putting myself out there, and I just wanna come off as a good person. And lately, on the show, it’s just been very drama.”

The Chile native confessed to Us Weekly in September that she was “still trying to figure” out how to juggle work and family. “They’re very stressed out,” she revealed. “I love being here. I love being with the roomies. But at the same time, I miss my newborn, I miss my two kids. So honestly I’m still trying to find that balance.”

According to a source, the MTV star “did not tell all her Jersey Shore castmates that she was retiring before she made the announcement. It came as a surprise to more than one of them.”

Polizzi’s episode of The Mel Robbins Show will air on Friday, January 10, 2020.

Snooki is leaving ‘Jersey Shore’ to be with her children

Snooki is packing her bags and leaving “Jersey Shore.”

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, who rose to fame on the MTV reality series, announced on Friday she has quit the show’s reboot, “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.”

“You guys, I love you so much and don’t hate me for my decision, but I have to do what’s best for me at the moment,” the 32-year-old mother of three said on her podcast, “It’s Happening with Snooki & Joey.” “I am retiring from ‘Jersey Shore.’ I am not coming back for Season 4 if there is one.”

She went on to explain there were two reasons for her decision, the main one that she doesn’t like leaving her children so she can shoot the show.

“I just can’t do it anymore, leaving my kids to film. It is really, really hard on me. I quit every single time we film because I hate being away from the kids,” she said.

Snooki shares three young children — 7-year-old Lorenzo, 5-year-old Giovanna and 6-month-old Angelo — with her husband, Jionni LaValle.

The notorious former party girl also said she just can’t keep up with that lifestyle anymore.

“I don’t like partying three days in a row,” she admitted. “That’s not my life anymore.”

She also said the show had become too dramatic and “serious” for her.

“I don’t like the person I’m being portrayed as,” she said. “This is getting a little too much. At 32 years old and with three kids and if I’m doing a reality show I just want it to be fun and light-hearted, and just lately it’s not like that and the show is getting so dramatic.”

She added that she had no hard feelings toward MTV and hopes to work with the network again in the future.

“I’m not saying goodbye to reality TV,” she assured fans. “I just need to move on from the show.”

Snooki appeared on “Jersey Shore” from 2009 to 2012 and returned for “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” in 2018. She also starred on “Snooki & JWoww” with her “Jersey Shore” pal Jenni “JWoww” Farley from 2012 to 2015.

Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi’s ‘Jersey Shore’ Exit ‘Came as a Surprise’

Keeping it quiet. Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi’s decision to leave Jersey Shore: Family Vacation shocked some of her costars who were not in the know before the big reveal.

“Nicole did not tell all her Jersey Shore castmates that she was retiring before she made the announcement,” a source tells Us Weekly exclusively. “It came as a surprise to more than one of them.”

Polizzi, 32, shared the news during the Friday, December 6, episode of her “It’s Happening With Snooki & Joey” podcast. “OK, you guys, I love you so much, and don’t hate me for my decision, but I have to do what’s best for me at the moment, and I am retiring from Jersey Shore,” she explained. “I am not coming back to Jersey Shore [Family Vacation] for a season 4, if there is one. And there’s a lot of reasons why, but the main reason is really … I’m just like, I just can’t do it anymore.”

The reality star noted that her family with husband Jionni LaValle factored into her retreat from the MTV series. The couple, who tied the knot in November 2014, share son Lorenzo, 7, daughter Giovanna, 5, and son Angelo, 6 months. “I hate being away from the kids,” she said. “I don’t like partying three days in a row. It’s just not my life anymore. And I wanna be home with the kids. You know, like, I don’t mind a here and there going to a dinner or whatever, but it’s just really hard on me to leave the kids and film the show.”

The Chile native pointed out that onscreen drama led to her departure too. “You know, when I leave my kids and I film the show, like, I want to have a good time,” she told listeners. “And I’m putting myself out there, and I just wanna come off as a good person. And lately, on the show, it’s just been very drama. … I don’t like the person I’m portrayed as.”

The TV personality hinted at her hesitance to sign on for another season during a September set visit. “I’m still trying to figure that out,” she told Us of juggling her family and the show. “They’ve very stressed. I love being here. I love being with the roomies. But at the same time, I miss my newborn, I miss my two kids. So honestly I’m still trying to find that balance.”

Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi Struggled to Balance ‘Jersey Shore,’ Family

Getting honest. Before Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi announced that she was “retiring” from Jersey Shore, she opened up exclusively to Us Weekly about her struggles to find a balance between shooting the MTV hit and spending time with her husband and kids.

“I’m still trying to figure that out,” the reality star, 32, told Us on set in September. “They’re very stressed. I love being here. I love being with the roomies. But at the same time, I miss my newborn, I miss my two kids. So honestly I’m still trying to find that balance.”

Polizzi and husband Jionni LaValle share three kids: Lorenzo, 7, Giovanna, 5, and Angelo, 6 months. When she announced the news that she was exiting the series on Friday, December 6, the How Far Is Tattoo Far? host admitted they were a big deciding factor.

“I hate being away from the kids,” she said during her “It’s Happening With Snooki & Joey” podcast. “I don’t like partying three days in a row. It’s just not my life anymore. And I wanna be home with the kids. You know, like, I don’t mind a here and there going to a dinner or whatever, but it’s just really hard on me to leave the kids and film the show.”‘

The Snooki & JWoww alum also pointed out that the drama has become too much.

“I want to have a good time, and I’m putting myself out there and I just want to come off as a good person,” Polizzi continued. “And lately on the show, it’s just been very [dramatic].” She later said that she was not happy with the “direction” of the show, or the viewers who have turned against certain, unnamed costars. “That’s just not how the show works, and that’s how it’s becoming. … I don’t like the person I’m being portrayed as, and this is getting [to be] a little too much.”

The Chile native starred in all six seasons of Jersey Shore, four seasons of spinoff Snooki & JWoww and three seasons of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, which returns to MTV in 2020.

Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi ‘Retiring’ From ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’

She’s out! Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is retiring from the Jersey Shore franchise, opting out of the fourth season of MTV’s Jersey Shore: Family Vacation reboot.

The 32-year-old breaks the news on “It’s Happening With Snooki & Joey,” the podcast she hosts with friend Joey Camasta. “There’s reasons why I’ve come to this decision,” she says in the Friday, December 6, episode, segueing into her announcement. “It’s definitely a hard decision.”

“OK, you guys, I love you so much, and don’t hate me for my decision, but I have to do what’s best for me at the moment, and I am retiring from Jersey Shore,” she said. “I am not coming back to Jersey Shore [Family Vacation] for a season 4, if there is one. And there’s a lot of reasons why, but the main reason is really … I’m just like, I just can’t do it anymore.”

Saying that she tries to quit every time she films the reality show, Polizzi explains that her three kids with husband Jionni LaValle — Lorenzo, 7, Giovanna, 5, and Angelo, 6 months — were a big factor in her decision

“I hate being away from the kids,” she says. “I don’t like partying three days in a row. It’s just not my life anymore. And I wanna be home with the kids. You know, like, I don’t mind a here and there going to a dinner or whatever, but it’s just really hard on me to leave the kids and film the show.”

Polizzi also notes that Family Vacation has become too dramatic, perhaps referring to her and Jenni “JWoww” Farley’s epic showdown against Angelina Pivarnick in an October episode of the show. “You know, when I leave my kids and I film the show, like, I want to have a good time,” she says. ”And I’m putting myself out there, and I just wanna come off as a good person. And lately, on the show, it’s just been very drama.”

She goes on: “Our show, Jersey Shore, is about family, and about making fun of each other, and having a good time and laughing and just knowing that it’s all in good fun. And lately, it’s just like, everything is so serious. And when it comes to our show, it’s not about, like, ‘Oh, team this, team that,’ and then, you know, fans are against each other when it comes to a cast member.”

“It just now how the show works, and that’s how it’s becoming,” she concludes. “And so for me, it’s just like, I don’t want that, and I’m not leaving my kids for days on end when that’s the result of it. I just don’t like the turnout of it, and I don’t like the person I’m portrayed as.”

Snooki starred in all six seasons of the original Jersey Shore, all four seasons of spinoff Snooki & JWoww and three seasons of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, which will return to MTV in 2020.

Nicole ’Snooki’ Polizzi Drunk-Tweets ‘Jersey Shore’ Meltdown

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi admitted she got drunk watching Jersey Shore: Family Vacation on Thursday, October 24 — and though she loved her “dramatic meltdown,” she didn’t appreciate the editing of the episode.

In Thursday’s installment of the MTV reality show, Polizzi, 31, waded into the ongoing feud between costars Angelina Pivarnick and Jenni “JWoww” Farley over the latter’s boyfriend, Zack Carpinello. Pivarnick, 33, set Polizzi off by deeming her and Farley, 33, “mean girls.”

“I don’t like when I’m called a mean girl, when my friends are called mean girls, because we’re not f–king mean girls,” she said on the show. “It’s just a big thing for me because I dealt with that in high school.”

After storming out of the house, Polizzi continued her rant. “I didn’t leave my 2-month-old son to be called a f–king mean girl,” she seethed. (Polizzi and her husband, Jionni LaValle, welcomed son Angelo on May 30.)

Reflecting on the episode just after midnight on Friday, the Dancing With the Stars alum revealed she actually stormed out of the house four times that night. “Very dramatic, stomping and grabbing my bag,” she tweeted. “@angelinamtvjs thought i was so drama. I was.”

After telling Twitter followers she was “bombed off wine,” Polizzi promised more revelations to come. “Ok my drunk ass is going to sleep,” she wrote. “All i have to say is , editing on a reality show is a bitch. I will speak the truth one day with a full , tell all documentary. Until then, enjoy your Pinot and dramer [sic]!”

She also clapped back at her social media critics on Friday. When one viewer said that she was acting like a “fake bitch,” the reality star replied, “I can act however i feel on a reality show that you keep watching.”

One Twitter user replied to that tweet, writing, “Yes you can and I love you to death but sticking up for that rude bia*** [sic] of @JENNIWOWW tonight left me sad. You’re supposed to be the REAL down to earth one here Snook!”

In response, Polizzi defended her friend. “Editing is a bitch,” she wrote. “Jenni is the strongest and realest bitch I’ve ever known.”

Hours later, the Confessions of a Guidette author said she had no regrets about her tantrum. “I loved every minute of my dramatic meltdown,” she tweeted.

Jersey Shore: Family Vacation airs on MTV Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET.
