The Bachelor contestant, who is still in the running to win over Matt’s heart, raised eyebrows after photos from her college days resurfaced on Reddit. In the images, which E! News hasn’t verified, Rachael was seen attending a fraternity formal in 2018, which the Reddit user described as an “Antebellum plantation themed ball.”
She would later apologize in a statement posted on social media. “At one point, I didn’t recognize how offensive and racist my actions were, but that doesn’t excuse them,” Rachael wrote on Feb. 11. “My age or when it happened does not excuse anything. They are not acceptable or okay in any sense. I was ignorant, but my ignorance was racist.”
Ultimately, members of Bachelor Nation have spoken out and sparked a conversation about race and diversity in the franchise. In fact, Bachelor contestants from Matt’s own season came together to release a statement.
Heather Morris‘ life is forever changed thanks to her friendship with Naya Rivera.
On Wednesday, July 15, the Glee star eulogized the actress in a personal tribute shared to social media. Two days ago, Rivera’s body was recovered from the Southern California lake she went missing from while boating with her 4-year-old son, Josey Dorsey. Officials have determined the 33-year-old died in an accidental drowning.
Heather’s post detailed her final interaction with Rivera, and shared new insight into their friendship and the bond their children shared.
“We started out as the closest friends and then like all new things, we went through a bit of a rocky phase,” she wrote. “However, we stuck by each other’s side and created the most beautiful friendship built out of love and understanding. The last I had the chance to see you in person, I had left oranges outside our home for you to take. I wanted to say hi through the window but my phone didn’t ring when you called (which it never does, f*cking T-Mobile), so instead you and Josey left two succulents on our doorstep as a thank you. I planted those succulents and I look at them everyday and think of you.”
TARRANT COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) — A North Texas boy’s letter to Santa is a heartbreaking reminder of the hopelessness some children feel during the holidays.
Seven-year-old Blake and his mom are currently staying at SafeHaven of Tarrant County, a shelter providing assistance to families healing from violent relationships.
Since the move, Blake’s mom found a letter to Santa in the boy’s backpack, discussing his difficulties adjusting.

The letter read:
We had to leave our house. Dad was mad. We had to do all the chores. Dad got everything he wanted. Mom said it was time to leave and she would take us to a safer place where we don’t have to be scared.
I’m still nervous. I don’t want to talk to the other kids. Are you gong to come this Christmas? We don’t have any of our stuff here. Can you bring some chapter books, a dictionary, and a compass and a watch? I also want a very, very, very good dad. Can you do that, too?
“We were talking about regrets earlier — I’ve been thinking about the biggest one,” she told Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi during the episode. When the 31-year-old asked if Farley was referring to Mathews, she said yes.
“I’m going through it with the divorce. It’s been almost a year since I filed,” the Filthy Couture designer, 34, continued. “When you get divorced, you’re supposed to be celebrating and start a new chapter, but it’s really heartbreaking. And it’s stressful, the up and down battle of figuring out custody issues. I just don’t know when it gets better.”
Polizzi then assured her BFF that Mathews, 44, “is the f–king worst” and reminded Farley, “You always knew it wasn’t right.”
Farley filed for divorce from Mathews in September 2018. The pair share daughter Meilani, 5, and son Greyson, 3, who have remained both of their focus although the split has become messy. The divorce was finalized in August, but for the most part, Farley has stayed mum on the split while filming, in order to protect her kids.
“It’s just really hard,” she admitted to Polizzi, adding that her kids are now her “bliss” as she’s “suffering” every day through the pain. “It’s more than exhausting — it can mentally break someone. I just want peace.”
“I want peace with my ex-wife for my kids and if there is turmoil in her life and in her household, it’s just not a good thing for our children, so I wish nothing but the best for her,” he said on October 11. “I wish them all well and I hope Jenni and Zack can work through their issues if they deem it worth saving. I’m focused on myself and my children. Onwards and upwards.”
Shock and sadness. Sailor Brinkley-Cook — and the rest of the word — was completely caught off guard during the Monday, October 21, episode of Dancing With the Stars. After each pair danced, it was revealed that Brinkley-Cook, 21, and partner Val Chermkovskiy were in the bottom two next to Ally Brooke and Sasha Farber. The judges then chose to save the former Fifth Harmony singer, sending home Val and Sailor.
“Last night was heartbreaking. I was so not ready for this experience to finish so soon but wow am I grateful for every minute of it,” she began in a lengthy Instagram post on Tuesday, October 22. “I loved every sweaty moment in the rehearsal studio pushing myself past so many inhibitions and insecurities, and laughing my way through it all with my buddies @michdibs @valentin . And then doing something every Monday that I never in a million years thought i could be capable of. It was such a gift, no matter how nervous i was getting up on that stage I’d always look around and think what is my life!? How blessed am I?! This experience changed my whole outlook on life. All my life I let my fears hold me back from anything I wasn’t comfortable with. This experience made me feel unstoppable. Each day on this rollercoaster ride was a massive learning lesson, a journey in 24 hours.”
On Monday, she received three 9s from the judges, only adding to the shock of the elimination.
“Thank you to everyone for showing me so much love and to all my close friends and family for always believing in me and supporting me. Thank you to the whole crew on DWTS for showing unconditional kindness always,” the New York native continued on her Instagram. “To my cast-mates who quickly became such good friends, thank you for taking me in and being so kind and supportive.. I’ll miss you guys! But I’m so excited to see y’all light up that stage on Monday!”
Brinkley-Cook also called out partner Chmerkovskiy, 33, for his support. “A massive thank you to my fearless partner and friend @valentin for everything, for believing in my strengths, for never giving up, for cracking me up every day,” she wrote. “I’ll sincerely miss dancing by your side. But I know it won’t be the last time. I am so grateful to have taken this chance, befriended some really amazing people, had some bucket list experiences and have these stories to tell forever. And I’ll never stop dancing!!!! Feeling so filled with love and gratitude! Thank you!!!”
Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC Mondays at 8 p.m. ET.
