In the midst of making the rounds with his 2019 album Intimo, Nicky Jam celebrates another career venture as he renews his record deal with Sony Music Latin.
The millionaire contract signing finalized on Monday (Nov. 18) with the presence of Sony’s industry leaders such as Afo Verde, Chairman & CEO, Sony Music Latin Iberia, Jam’s manager Juan Diego Medina Velez, La Industria INC. and Jam’s lawyer David Daza, and Alex Gallardo, president of Sony Music U.S. Latin.
“Nicky is a big priority for Sony and despite being already a legend, we feel he still has everything ahead. We are honored and happy to continue working together in search of great goals,” Verde said in an official statement.
Gallardo adds: “At Sony, we are very proud that Nicky feels at home. After many years of working with him and his team, we have already become a family. Every day that passes we have a renewed ambition and big dreams and goals to achieve.”
Jam, who shared the great news to his fans on social media, also expressed that Sony Music Latin is his house and that he feels honored for their continued trust in his music. “Always grateful like the first time,” he said.
Jam, who’s currently promoting his dancehall-infused urban single “Whine Up” in collaboration with Anuel AA, also revealed that a highly-awaited comeback of Los Cangris is in the work. Recently, Jam shared a pic on Instagram posing with Daddy Yankee in front of a car and surrounded by a group of people. During the late ‘90s and early ‘00s, Yankee and Jam formed the duo “Los Cangris” and released many hits such as “Guayando,” “Sentirte” and “Sabanas Blancas.”
